What does the Credential® Accounts feature do?

It allows you to view your Credential investments through ACU Online Banking.

Who are the Credential partners?

  • Credential Asset Management Inc. (for mutual funds)
  • Credential Securities Inc. (for mutual funds and other securities)
  • Credential Direct® (for mutual funds and other securities)

How can I view my Credential accounts?

Simply follow these steps

  1. Under Account services on ACU Online (not available for Mobile Banking), tap Manage partner accounts
  2. Choose the Investment account you'd like to link
  3. Enter your Client number
  4. Tap Continue

You should now be able to view any Credential Asset Management and Credential Securities accounts you have (p.s. you may have to logout then login again to Online Banking before the accounts appear.

If you’re linking Credential Direct accounts, the Credential Direct program will load, then:

  1. Enter your Username and Password
  2. Tap I agree

Credential Asset Management and Credential Securities do not send email confirmations. Credential Direct will send you an email indicating that they have just processed a request.

Where can I find my client number?

On the Add investment account page, tap Where can I find this? A pop-up window will show an example of where to find the client number specific to the account being linked. It can also be found on your Credential statement.

What if I get an error message when I enter my client ID number?

Double check that you are entering the correct client ID number. If you've entered the wrong number, use the back button on the page and try again.

Can I view my Ethical® Funds through this Credential Accounts?

Yes, if you have Ethical Funds through Credential. If they're held with another investment broker, such as Qtrade®, you won't be able to see them with Online Banking. The best way to know what accounts will be visible through this feature is to look at your Credential statements.

Can I remove the link to an individual investment held with one of the financial partners?

Afraid not. All of your investments with a particular partner are visible; none can be deleted.

How can I remove a Credential partner account from showing on my online banking?

To de-link a particular Credential partner, simply go to Manage partner accounts and follow the steps to delete. This will not delete the accounts themselves, only remove them from view. The Credential Accounts section heading will stay on your Account Summary page, as will the option to link accounts.
