Group Registered Retirement Savings Plan (Group RRSP)
Many companies offer their employees a Group Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), providing the same tax benefits as a personal RRSP, but with the convenience of your contributions being deducted regularly from payroll.
Benefits
- make regular contributions through payroll deduction
- specialists help employees select their investments and offer the same high level of personalized service and advice that individual clients enjoy
- save money faster; because you pay no tax on investment growth while your money is in an RRSP, your investments compound more quickly
- contributions to an RRSP are tax deductible, so having a Group RRSP lowers your annual taxable income and your yearly income tax bill
- income from your RRSP is taxable only when you withdraw it
- group RRSPS offer a choice of investments, including guaranteed investment certificates (GICs) and mutual funds
