Say goodbye to Interac Online Payments

Hello other ways to pay online!

Goodby Interac® Online Payments: Hello other ways to pay online
Winnipeg, MB – August 4, 2020 (updated August 26, 2020)

You want more from your everyday banking and for that reason we continually strive to bring you newer payment services that improve your banking experience.

Interac® Online Payments has been one way to make payments to participating merchants when shopping on their online stores, but this service ended August 26, 2020.

Interac® Online Payments is different than Interac e-Transfers® (Interac e-Transfers® is not changing).

Interac® Online Payments was one of our first online payment options, and since its earlier introduction, new and better services have become available, including:

  • ACU Collabria VISA* credit cards;
  • Mobile pay options, such as Apple Pay or Google Pay
  • Bill payment options with thousands of listed bill payees available

Now, instead of using Interac® Online Payments, you can use your credit card to pay for online purchases, just as you can today. Payments to other organizations, such as Canada Revenue Agency, are supported through our bill payment services. You can also use Apple Pay or Google Pay for online purchases wherever they are accepted by online retailers.

Here's how to get started

Pay online using an ACU Collabria VISA card

Pay for your online purchases with Collabria VISA. Learn more about ACU Collabria Visa cards.

Pay online using one of our mobile payment options

  • Buy with Apple Pay (wherever Apple Pay is presented as an online or in-app payment option).
  • Buy with Google Pay (wherever Google Pay is presented as an online or in-app payment option).

Note that international purchases using Google Pay or Apple Pay are not supported on ACU debit cards.

Pay vendors using ACU Bill Payments

There are literally thousands of companies registered in the ACU bill payment system. If there's a bill you want to pay and you don't see the company listed, call us and we'll do our best to add them to the list.
