Regent Branch is Celebrating its 10th Anniversary
Happy 10th Anniversary to ACU's Regent Branch!
As Transcona celebrates 100 years, our Regent Branch is getting ready to celebrate 10 years of doing good things in the neighbourhood. From May 1 – 4 stop by 1609 Regent Avenue to celebrate with branch staff, enjoy free refreshments, and enter to win one of the daily draws for ACU prize packages.
Kim Sylvester, Branch Manager, was there when the doors opened and remembers the feeling of excitement that came from launching a new branch in a growing area. "We felt great about the location and optimistic about building the membership to what it is now."
The Regent Branch started with zero members, and Kim remembers going around meeting the neighbours and introducing ACU to the area. "Before we knew it, things were getting busier and existing members were referring their friends and family in the area to us," Kim reflects.
Our Regent Branch has grown with the neighbourhood because so many people have chosen to bank locally. Banking locally helps to build a stronger community by keeping money here, where it can be reinvested. By choosing ACU, members contribute to community renewal, environmental sustainability, and help local businesses and co-operatives thrive.
Thanks for 10 years of making good things happen in Transcona. Here's to many more!
